Depressed vs. Depression

rebelsheartTo the best of my knowledge, I do not suffer from depression.
That said, given everything in my country since the election and that I'm a Federal employee, that I am depressed doesn't surprise me and probably doesn't surprise anyone who knows me.
But I've never been depressed this long or deep before and if this is what depression is like, people who suffer from that have even more sympathy from me.
The realization hit me over weekend, but I think it's been emphasized by wanting to go to bed very early because nothing is pulling my attention.
