The weekend was one of contrast. Before my fursuiting endeavours on Sunday, I had been invited over to Stalybridge to spend the night with the slightly mad wolf known as [profile] wolfybaby. She's a great laugh and one of those people who to be around never results in a dull moment.

Today was an interesting day as I invited [profile] psythu down to see my fursuit. Even though I have fursuited in Newcastle three times now, he always seemed to miss it so I gave him a private and special demonstration in my room ;-)  I also let him try it on and I must admit that for a dragon, he makes a pretty good husky :-)

We spent the rest of the day exploring the town - doing what I call the Sheptour - a tour I cultivated when [personal profile] shep_shepherd came to visit the other week. This time we got to board the Transporter Bridge and go to the other side of the River but as that's the rough part of town, we came swiftly back. The derelict old buildings of St Hilda's looked even more romantic and lonely in the rain and I discovered a few other places I didn't know about either. Exploring your home town can be great fun :-)

We also went to mima, the art gallery, but sadly it was closed. We did manage to snarffle a teacake in there though and [profile] psythu also managed to try a parmo, the national dish of Teesside, which he said he enjoyed immensely (see, we ARE cultured here mwah ha ha!!). We even got to find out a bit more about the history of the parmo on Teesside as we were told by the chef in my local pizza place that it was he and his business partner who transformed the recipe from a posh dish to a takeout dish in 1991. Whether I believe that or not, I am not sure.

Apart from that, we spent the day talking about loads of things and just looking around. It was great getting to know him (and my town) a little more and ended what has been an excellent few days.

P.S. I am still suffering from PFS despite having ten hours sleep last night. Fursuiting can really take a lot out of a husky...
